October 2009 

We are pleased to announce that Five Below raised over $110,000 in October 2009 for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, making Five Below one of the top fundraisers in the country for this promotion!  To support this organization, we sold $1 pumpkin pin-ups in all of our store locations in October.  100% of the proceeds were contributed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  This is in addition to the $66,000 we raised for St. Jude in October 2008.

St Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.  The best part about St. Jude is they help children in every state and internationally.  The hospital is located in Memphis and treats children from our local communities, freely sharing its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world.  No child is ever turned away from treatment at St. Jude because of their ethnic origin, religious affiliation or their ability to pay.  St. Jude also provides transportation costs and local living expenses during treatment for the child and one parent, and assists with meal costs while the family is in Memphis.
